| Misc. Notes |
Vansom.ged201208. According to Rev. Arthur Taylor in "My Family", Eliza & Gregor had three children, Mary, Gregor Ironside and Lucy. During the Indian Mutiny the family managed to get to Lucknow, where Eliza, Gregor & the infant Lucy all died — mother and daughter of cholera and Lt Grant of wounds (his had was blown off after picking up a hand grenade that had landed close by). There is no information about the fate of the two other children, or even if they were with them at Lucknow.
